SIXTH FORM DRESS CODE

While it sympathises with views on creative expression, NLS feels that a dress code plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school and setting what it deems an appropriate tone. The following has been agreed as a suitable indication as to what is and is not acceptable in NLS’s Sixth Form. We understand that some individuals do not identify with the terms “male” and “female”, are non-binary, gender-fluid or are in a process of transition. In such circumstances, individuals should feel able to approach the Sixth Form Team or anyone they deem to be an appropriate member of staff (who can refer on to the Sixth Form Team) in order to address any need or concern.

Within this dress code the school reserves the right to reasonably interpret what is meant by terms such as “appropriate”,  “extreme” and “excessive”.
