Key Stage 4 Curriculum Guide

Throughout Key Stage 4 Years 9–11 will follow the core curriculum alongside their chosen option subjects. Students will study a Core Curriculum leading to GCSEs in (except Games):





Games (non-qualification)

In addition, students can choose 4 GCSE or BTEC subjects from the following areas:

Performance Faculty: Fine Art, Textiles, Music, Dance, Drama, Sport/PE, Food, Design Technology

Humanities Faculty: Geography, History, Business, Health and Social Care, Computing, ICT

Modern Foreign Languages: French, German, Spanish


All students study Science as part of their core curriculum which leads to a GCSE in Combined Science. As an alternative, students may choose Triple Science as an option; this leads to three separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
